Gallery announces subjects of exhibits
The Schumacher Gallery at Capital University, 1 College and Main, will open its 2013-2014 exhibition year with "Presence: A Dialogue with the Human Form," running Monday, Sept. 9, through Oct. 17.
The display brings together the work of practicing artists who demonstrate that the human form has diverse dialogue all its own. Casey Bradley, studio manager and instructor of dimensional studies at Columbus College of Art and Design, is the curator.
A reception for the exhibit is set for 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20.
Other upcoming shows include:
* "Memories of World War II: Photographs from the Archives of the Associated Press," Oct. 28 through Dec. 6; reception 5 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1.
* "The Beatles! Backstage and Behind the Scenes," Jan. 20 through March 22; reception 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7.
* "Capital University's Student Art Exhibition," April 7-22; reception 5 to 7:30 p.m. April 11.
Gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The gallery will be closed Nov. 27 through Dec. 1, for Thanksgiving, Feb. 22 through March 2 for mid-term break, and April 17-20 for Easter.
