Bexley: Rock used to vandalize business

Bexley police responded to a burglar alarm Aug. 29 at a business in the 2100 block of East Livingston Avenue to find that someone had thrown a rock through a windowpane in the front door of the business.

The business owner provided video surveillance footage that showed an unknown suspect walking up to the front door then throwing the rock. He then walked northbound on Ferndale Place.

Bexley police reports described the suspect as a black male, wearing a white baseball cap, jacket and blue jeans.

In other recent incident reports from the Bexley Police Department:

* A resident of the 900 block of Ferndale Place reported someone entered his residence through the front screen and searched through the resident's belongings Sept. 4. Nothing was reported missing.

* A resident of the 900 block of Grandon Avenue reported that sometime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 2, someone pried the lock on an unattached garage in an attempt to gain entry. Entry was not gained and nothing was reported missing.

* A resident of the 800 block of College Avenue reported someone broke a branch on a city-owned tree in front of the resident's home on Sept. 1.
