Committee begins work on BRAVO!
The 2014 BRAVO! fundraiser committee.
The committee that will oversee planning for the 2014 BRAVO! fundraiser recently held its first meeting, setting in motion five months of planning for the Bexley Education Foundation's biggest benefit of the year.
BRAVO! will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. March 1, at Limited Brands World Headquarters, 3 Limited Parkway in Columbus.
The event, coordinated by co-chairwomen Julie Cohen and Cathy Cory, raises funds for the Bexley Education Foundation's grant-making program to support excellence and innovation in the classroom and across the school district.
Events at BRAVO! will include a silent auction with hundreds of items to bid on, an auction of children's art, a raffle, a cash bar and sampling of food from dozens of area restaurants and caterers. Volunteer opportunities are available for those who would like to help with the event.
Tickets for BRAVO! are $50 in advance, $75 at the door. Patron tickets are $75 and sponsorships start at $300 and include tickets to the event. To learn more, go to bexleyeducationfoundation.org or call 614-338-2093.
The Bexley Education Foundation funds projects initiated by teachers and schools that directly enhance learning experiences for a significant number of students. BEF funds are raised through the foundation's annual Fund for Excellence campaign, BRAVO! and other initiatives.
To date, BEF has provided almost $4 million in grants to Bexley City Schools.
