Jeep Cherokees targeted on Charles Street

Bexley police said a resident in the 2100 block of Charles Street reported someone stole his 1995 red Jeep Cherokee Oct. 2.

A resident in the 2000 block of Charles Street reported that on Oct. 1 or Oct. 2, someone tried to steal his 1990 Jeep Cherokee by prying open the vehicle's ignition. The attempt to take the vehicle was unsuccessful, but the suspect stole assorted tools from the glove compartment.

In other Bexley police reports:

* A resident in the 700 block of Vernon Road reported that on Oct. 1 or Oct. 2, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole loose change, a gift card and several food items, together worth $19.

* A resident in the 800 block of South Remington Road reported that on Oct. 1 or Oct. 2, someone entered her locked vehicle and stole $20 in cash from a dashboard storage area.

* A resident in the 800 block of Village Creek Drive reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle Oct. 2 and stole her credit cards and driver's license.

* A resident in the 700 block of South Remington Road reported that on Oct. 2, someone stole his cellphone, valued at $300, from his unlocked car.

* Someone entered an unlocked vehicle belonging to a resident in the 700 block of South Remington Road on Oct. 1 or Oct. 2. The suspect rifled through the interior and broke the lid to the center console, reports stated.
