Thief nets $750 by stealing coin boxes

Bexley police said an employee of an apartment building in the 500 block of North Cassady Avenue reported that on Oct. 10 or Oct. 11, someone entered the laundry room and stole three coin storage boxes, together worth $750.

In other Bexley police reports:

* A resident in the 700 block of Sheridan Avenue reported that on Oct. 6 or Oct. 7, someone broke out the passenger window of his Chevrolet Cavalier and ransacked the vehicle.

* A Grove City resident reported that on Oct. 6, someone broke out the passenger window of his Ford Escort while it was parked in the 700 block of Sheridan Avenue. The person ransacked the vehicle and stole 10 to 12 CDs valued at $120.

* A South Roosevelt Avenue resident reported someone stole his cellphone Oct. 9 from the football locker room of Bexley Middle School, 326 Cassingham S. Road.

* Someone broke out the passenger window of a Toyota Highlander belonging to a resident in the 400 block of South Parkview Avenue on Oct. 9 or 10. The person ransacked the vehicle and stole a pair of sunglasses valued at $30 and loose change.

* Another resident in the 400 block of South Parkview Avenue reported that on Oct. 9 or Oct. 10, someone broke out the driver's-side window of his vehicle and stole a pair of eyeglasses valued at $800.

* A Xenia resident reported that between Oct. 7 and Oct. 10, someone broke out the passenger window of his Jeep Cherokee while it was parked in the 2100 block of East Main Street and stole a GPS unit valued at $150.

* Someone broke out the side window of an unattached garage in the 200 block of North Stanwood Road on Oct. 10 or 11. The person ransacked the interior of the owner's Honda Insight and stole an MP3 player valued at $50.
