Police investigate multiple reports of vandalism

Bexley police are investigating several reports of vandalism to vehicles.

A resident in the first block of Meadow Park Avenue reported that sometime between Oct. 3 and Oct. 13, someone broke into his Toyota Prius while it was parked in his driveway, shattered the driver's door window and rummaged through the vehicle. No items were reported missing.

A resident in the 400 block of Westland Avenue reported that on Oct. 17 or Oct. 18, someone broke the passenger window of his Acura TL, ransacked the interior of his vehicle and stole a debit card and a credit card.

A resident in the 400 block of Westland Avenue reported someone broke out the front passenger window of his 2010 Subaru on Oct. 17 or 18. No items were reported stolen.

A resident in the 2700 block of Sherwood Road reported someone broke into his vehicle on Oct. 20 or Oct. 21, ransacked the interior and stole $5 in assorted currency.

In other Bexley police reports:

* A resident in the 2200 block of Bryden Road reported a women's bicycle valued at $320 was stolen between Oct. 12 and Oct. 20.

* On Oct. 22, Bexley police responded to the area of South Drexel Avenue and Sherwood Road on reports of multiple vehicle break-ins. A total of 13 vehicles were broken into by someone using a blunt object to pry at the front side windows, shattering the glass. The only property of value reported stolen was a GPS unit valued at $150.

* A resident in the 900 block of Chelsea Avenue reported that on Oct. 21 or Oct. 22, someone entered her unattached garage and stole a lawn mower valued at $300 and a power washer valued at $300.

* A resident in the 100 block of Ashbourne Road reported that on Oct. 22 or Oct. 23, someone broke into Toyota Highlander by using an unknown object to shatter a back seat wing window. The offender stole a computer valued at $3,041 and radio tools valued at $1,200.

* A resident in the 800 block of South Roosevelt Avenue reported that on Oct. 21 or Oct. 22, someone threw a large rock through a bedroom window. No items were reported missing.

* A resident in the 400 block of South Parkview Avenue reported on Oct. 23 that someone broke into her vehicle by smashing out the driver's side window, rummaged through the vehicle and stole loose change.

* A resident in the 2100 block of Bryden Road reported that on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, someone broke out the front driver's side window of his vehicle and stole a flashlight valued at $19 from the glove compartment.

* Three residents in the 800 and 900 blocks of College Avenue, respectively, reported someone broke into their vehicles by smashing the front passenger-side windows sometime between Oct. 23 and Oct. 24. No items were reported missing.

* An employee of a business in the 2200 block of East Livingston Avenue reported a man stole a bottle of wine valued at $14 and beer valued at $6 on Oct. 13.
