Men stealing cigarettes trigger alarm

Bexley police responded to an alarm sounding at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at a business in the 2200 block of East Livingston Avenue.

A security video showed two males stealing lottery tickets and cigarettes.

In other Bexley police reports:

* The owner of an apartment building in the 900 block of Ferndale Place reported that on Nov. 5, someone broke out a light bulb and a socket outside the building, causing $50 worth of damage.

* A Columbus resident reported that on Nov. 4, an unknown male snatched her purse as she was approaching a home in the 700 block of Grandon Avenue. The resident's husband chased after the suspect, who discarded the purse. The husband recovered the purse and no items were reported missing.

* A resident in the 2800 block of East Broad Street reported someone rummaged through his Hyundai SUV while it was parked in the driveway of his residence Nov. 1. No items were reported missing.
