Church reports computer theft

An employee of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 333 S. Drexel Ave., reported that someone gained entry into the church between Dec. 27 and Dec. 28, possibly through an unlocked door, and stole a laptop computer valued at $2,000.

A glass jar containing an undetermined amount of money also was stolen, Bexley police reports stated.

In other recent incident reports from the Bexley Police Department:

* The owner of a vacant house in the 2400 block of East Livingston Avenue reported that between Dec. 24 and Dec. 27, someone kicked in a locked back door. No damage was done to the interior of the house.

* A resident in the 800 block of Francis Avenue reported someone entered her unattached garage between Dec. 19 and Dec. 26 and stole $675 worth of lawn equipment.
