Hadassah will honor Joyce Garver Keller, executive director of Ohio Jewish Communities, with the Miriam's Cup Award at a luncheon to be held April 1, at the Columbus JCC.
Keller, whose organization represents eight Jewish federations throughout the state, works to encourage sound public policy and secure public dollars for social services that include health care, food assistance, English-language instruction and Holocaust education.
In addition to learning about the work of Ohio Jewish Communities, luncheon attendees will have an opportunity to hear how dental care affects their health and about the services provided by the Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. The guest speaker is Dr. Paul Casamassimo, chief of the Department of Dentistry at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
The luncheon is sponsored by Nationwide Children's Hospital, with additional sponsorships available. All proceeds support the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem.
The cost to attend is $50 per person or $1,000 for table sponsors. The event is open to all, and Hadassah membership is not required.
