FEATURED ARTIST: BRYAN MOSS
Local artist Bryan Moss will be displaying his paintings in the library's first floor gallery space (lobby and hall) during January and February. His work can also be viewed online at his website at strangethingsmoss.blogspot.com.
INTRODUCTION TO ZINIO
Adults are invited to learn how to use Zinio to access more than 50 magazines online through the library for free in a program set for 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.
Adult can take their writing to the next level by learning how to publish their own book in this workshop set for 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.
Columbus Creative Cooperative Director Brad Pauquette will share his tips for producing a professional, market-ready publication.
TEA AT THREE
The Tea at Three concert originally scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 26, has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts for the artist.
The library plans to reschedule the event with the artist at another time.
Participants in this program can have their resume reviewed and edited by a representative from New Directions Career Center from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 30.
Adults will learn the basics of using a computer and how to tame that pesky mouse from 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 3, as part of this class.
MOTHER-DAUGHTER BOOK CLUB
Parents and their children can read Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo, then attend a book club where they will share trivia to challenge friends and share conversations about the book. The club meets from 7 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5.
SPREAD THE LOVE: VALENTINE MAKING
Youth are invited to let their creativity loose at the library and make some valentines from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Feb. 7. The library will have paper, glitter, ribbon and more on hand for the projects.
LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
The next meeting of library's board of trustees is scheduled for 5 p.m. Feb. 20, in the library's Board Room.
