The event precedes the symphony's concert at Ohio Theatre; concert tickets sold separately. The dinner features three meal selections, music by CSO harpist Jude Mollenhauer, a raffle and cash bar. Bexley City Schools, World Cafe, 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in the Bexley High School library, 326 S. Cassingham Road. The topic is "Myth-Busting and Breaking Stereotypes." This discussion, third in a series, is facilitated by Kimberly Brazwell, the district's student and community support specialist. Topics are selected by the participants, students in grades K-12 and community members.

J Street, launch of Columbus chapter with a book club-style discussion, 7 p.m. Feb. 10, at the Columbus Jewish Community Center, 1125 College Ave. The Columbus chapter of the national pro-Israel, pro-peace movement, will consider Israeli columnist Ari Shavit's bestseller, My Promised Land. Moderator will be Ohio State history professor Robin Judd. The event is co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus and the Melton Center for Jewish Studies of the Ohio State University. The chapter is co-chaired by Isaiah Shalwitz and Cantor Jack Chomsky; Ted Fisher leads the group's political activities. The event is open to the public.
