College notes

* Capital University has announced its fall 2013 semester dean's and president's lists. Students named to the dean's list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Students named to the president's list have achieved a grade point average of 3.85 or better.

Courtney Henze, Jenna Hores, Yuan Wang and Cherrelle Williams of Bexley were named to the dean's list. Named to the president's list were Bexley residents Aaron Hayes, Katherine Istomina, Wooseok Jang, Sirrus Lawson, Robert Luttig, Neveen Murib, Ling-Yu Tsai, Shane Weiss and Yu Jeng Yeh.

* Bexley resident Abigail Gillett has been named to the dean's list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the fall 2013 semester. The list recognizes students who earn a grade point average of 3.0 or better. Gillett is studying electrical engineering.

* Nathan Kilngenberg of Bexley was featured in the cast of Baldwin Wallace University's production of Carrie: The Musical.

* Bexley resident Daniel Ellman has been named to the fall 2013 semester dean's list at Rochester Institute of Technology. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or better to be named to the list.

Ellman is a freshman in the game design and development program.

* Zoe Beaumier of Bexley is a recipient of the dean's award for academic excellence during the fall 2013 term at Colgate University. To be eligible for the list, a student must receive a grade point average of 3.3 or better.

* Several Bexley residents were named to the dean's list at Kent State University for the 2013 fall semester. They include Talia Goldach, Ellen Haenszel, Marissa Hart, Alexis Levy, Hanna Wenger and Conor Manley.

To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or better and have completed 12 or more graded credit hours.
