Bexley City Schools has announced a new schedule for the administration of the spring Ohio Achievement Assessments.

School administrators from across the state expressed concerns about the effects of missed school this winter and whether or not students would be ready for the spring OAA.

These concerns led the state to allow school districts to change their testing dates.

Bexley school officials have devised the following revised test schedule so that students and staff have more time to prepare:

April 28 -- grades 3, 5 reading (previous date was April 21).

April 29 -- grades 4, 6 reading, (previous date was April 22).

April 30 -- grades 3, 5 math, (previous date was April 23).

May 1 -- grades 4, 6 math, (previous date was April 24).

May 2 -- grade 5, science, (previous date was April 25).

The week of May 5, is set aside for make-up testing; previous week was set for April 28.

The testing schedule for April 21-25, at Bexley Middle School remains unchanged.
