The library will close at 6 p.m. today, July 3, and will be closed Friday, July 4, for Independence Day.
Local artist and author Hiroshi Hayakawa will visit to demonstrate the art of origami for seniors and how to create "paper pups" from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 8.
Children in grades 1-5 are invited to a COSI program demonstrating the power and attraction of magnets from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 8.

BEN FRANKLINVISITS THE LIBRARY
Participants and children of all ages will learn about the wonders of electricity with a special guest, Benjamin Franklin, from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9.
FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE
Watch Lego characters come to life in the story of a lowly Lego figure who joins Lego heroes to battle an evil force as the library presents The Lego Movie from 3 to 5 p.m. July 11.
Rebecca Riley, local teacher and shadow puppet artist, will present her new shadow puppet workshop, Magicorn in Outer Space, for youth of all ages from 2 to 3 p.m. July 13.
SCIENCE OF BAKING
Geri Peacock of Cherbourg Bakery will share her knowledge about the science of baking and how to make a delicious gluten-free sugar cookie from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 17.
Participants will get hands-on experience making their own cookie dough.
