BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The library's board of trustees has canceled its July meeting.
The next meeting is set for 5 p.m. Aug. 21, in the library board room.
TOUR THE UNIVERSE
Dean Regas, outreach astronomer and assistant director of the Cincinnati Observatory, as well as co-host of the PBS series Stargazers, will provide a 'tour' of the universe for youth and adults from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 19.
TRAVEL THE WORLD: JAPAN
The Japan-America Society of Central Ohio will be at the library with Ikebana demonstrations (Japanese flower arrangements), dance performances and more from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20.
The program is open to all ages.
BREATHE, STRETCH & RELAX YOGA
In this class, set for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, adults will learn how to breathe, stretch and relax in order to focus, relieve stress, and increase energy. Gail Spirit Sky, a registered yoga teacher and leader of the once-a-month Laughter Yoga Club at the library, will instruct. No yoga experience or mat needed.
Tweens and teens will make balloon cars with provided materials and then race them to see who has the need for speed from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 22.
COSI: ROLLER COASTERS!
COSI is coming to the library with a program that looks at the science behind the screams with roller coasters from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 23. No registration required for this program, geared toward those in grades 1-5.
TEEN AFTER-HOURS MOVIE NIGHT
Teens are invited for an after-hours screening of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire from 5 to 8 p.m. July 25. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

The Turtle Lady, Nancy Lockard, will be on hand to introduce families to her favorite reptilian friends from 7 to 8 p.m. July 28.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will visit to answer wildlife questions and talk about some amazing animals that call Ohio home from 11 a.m. to noon July 29.
