Bexley: Thief takes backpack, gains other items

Bexley police said a resident in the 2400 block of Brentwood Road reported someone used an unknown object to break out the rear driver's-side window of her vehicle between Aug. 18 and Aug. 19, and stole a black backpack. The backpack contained a laptop, a tablet computer, headphones and a textbook, reports stated.

In other recent incident reports from the Bexley Police Department:

* A resident in the 2300 block of Brentwood Road reported that sometime between Aug. 18 and Aug. 19, someone entered her unlocked vehicle parked at the rear of the residence and stole a credit card and $2 in change.

* A resident in the 400 block of North Cassady Avenue reported someone punctured two tires, valued at $250 each, on his recreational vehicle between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20.

* A resident in the 700 block of Montrose Avenue reported that sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 21, someone stole a blue Nintendo DS, valued at $100, from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in front of his house.
