Corinne Taylor has been hired as Bexley High School's athletics director.

Taylor, who previously served as the athletics director at Centennial, Columbus East and Whetstone, was approved by school board July 16. Her first day is Aug. 1.

"It was hard to leave Whetstone, but I realized what a good opportunity this is," said Taylor, a Whetstone graduate. "(Bexley has) strong traditions and a great community."

She replaces Molly Feesler, who had served as athletics director since 1998. Feesler resigned to take a similar position in the Pickerington school district.

Taylor will oversee athletics at the middle school and high school. Bexley offers 10 varsity sports for boys and 10 for girls at the high school level.

"She comes highly recommended and everyone I contacted could only speak about her exceptional skills and superior performance," Superintendent Mike Johnson said.
