The Columbus School for Girls basketball team will wrap up its CCL schedule by playing Thursday, Feb. 6, at Ready and playing host Saturday, Feb. 8, to Watterson.
The Unicorns, who are 0-6 in the CCL, lost to Ready 74-13 on Jan. 4 and fell to Watterson 82-8 on Jan. 9.
CSG was 4-14 overall before playing Liberty Christian on Feb. 4.
The Unicorns lost three games last week, falling to West Jefferson 53-30 on Jan. 29, losing a league game to Hartley 53-21 on Jan. 30 and losing to Briggs 56-30 on Feb. 1.
Against West Jefferson, Annie Parkhill scored nine points and Myrial Holbrook and Nia Caldwell each scored seven.
Lindsay Hester and Holbrook each scored six points against Hartley.
Parkhill scored 12 points and Holbrook had eight against Briggs.
The 20th-seeded Unicorns open the Division III district tournament Feb. 19 at fourth-seeded Ready or 18th-seeded Cardington.
Swimming team set for sectional
The swimming and diving team will compete in a Division II sectional Saturday, Feb. 8, at Columbus Academy.
The winner of each event qualifies for district Feb. 14 at Ohio State.
In addition, 27 at-large district berths will be awarded in each event based on times from the Central, East and Southeast sectional sites. Divers do not compete until district.
Last season, CSG scored 203 points to place third at sectional behind Granville (339) and host Academy (230) as 24 squads scored.
CSG defeated Academy 118-52 on Jan. 31.
Finishing first were Miranda Donley in the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 15.48 seconds) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.38), Eleanor Smith in the 50 freestyle (25.96), Annie Moosavian in the 100 butterfly (1:07.94), Rachel Politi in the 100 backstroke (1:01.75) and 100 free (55.16) and Charlotte Lennox in the 500 free (6:14.78).
