Columbus School for Girls tabs Patrick as new coach

Ben Patrick has been hired to coach the Columbus School for Girls basketball team.

Patrick coached the Northridge boys basketball squad the past two seasons, leading the Vikings to a 7-16 overall record each year.

He will be the Unicorns’ fourth head coach in four seasons.

CSG finished 5-18 overall and 0-8 in the CCL during the 2013-14 season under Caren Truske, after going 4-19 overall and 0-8 in the CCL under Lindsey Smith the previous season.

The Unicorns also went 1-20 and 0-8 in the CCL under Stephanie Jones during the 2011-12 season.

“We are very excited to hire Ben as our new basketball coach at CSG,” athletics director Megan Henry said. “He will bring a renewed enthusiasm and excitement to CSG with his up-tempo style of play and his emphasis on pressure defense. He brings head coaching experience from several quality programs.”
