Canal Winchester resident Michael Faieta has been promoted to associate vice president at Hamilton Capital Management Inc., a Columbus-based investment management and financial advisory firm.

Canal Winchester resident Michael Faieta has been promoted to associate vice president at Hamilton Capital Management Inc., a Columbus-based investment management and financial advisory firm.

As associate vice president, Faieta will continue to work with teams of fellow advisers to create customized financial planning and investment management solutions for Hamilton Capital clients. He will also take on targeted strategic projects for the firm.

Faieta earned a Certified Financial Planner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, the highest professional designation in the financial planning field. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Urbana University.

Waste Management of Ohio, based in Canal Winchester, has won the Central Ohio Better Business Bureau's 2008 Integrity Award.

The honor was announced during the Better Business Bureau's 14th annual Integrity Award Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus.

An independent panel of judges used a number of criteria to select award winners, including standards of excellence toward customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and communities in which they do business.

The judges also consider the business's reputation for ethical practices in the marketplace.

ChristmasFair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 29 and 30 at the Aladdin Shrine Center, 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus.

This is the 22nd year for the winter arts and crafts fair, featuring the work of more than 150 artists and craftspersons from throughout Ohio and the Midwest, including Canal Winchester residents Judy and Don Sims.

Items for sale will include jewelry, pottery, baskets and clothing. Concessions will be available and there is no cost for parking. General admission is $5; child-ren age 12 and younger will be admitted free.
