Nationwide Children's Hospital could offer services at the Diley Ridge Medical Campus when it opens next year.

Paul Ghidotti, executive vice president for Daimler Group, did not want to comment on specifics, but said the medical office building will be home to "a lot of diverse practice groups," pediatrics among them.

"We're still in discussions with them and nothing has been determined," said Mary Ellen Peacock, spokeswoman for Nationwide Children's Hospital.

She said the discussions still are "premature."

The medical center and office building are under construction east of Diley Road in Canal Winchester.

"I know they've been looking for a while," said Chris Strayer, development director for the village of Canal Winchester.

He said more information should be available in the next week or two.

The medical campus started as a cooperative effort between Mount Carmel Health System and Fairfield Medical Center.

"We're pleased at the high level of support at Diley Ridge, which further emphasizes the need for health services in northern Fairfield County," said Mount Carmel spokeswoman Janice Piscitelli.
