Approximately 330 Groveport Madison High School graduating seniors will be cruising over to the Celeste Center on the Ohio State Fairgrounds at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, to celebrate the end of their high school careers and to begin a new chapter in their lives.

Approximately 330 Groveport Madison High School graduating seniors will be cruising over to the Celeste Center on the Ohio State Fairgrounds at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, to celebrate the end of their high school careers and to begin a new chapter in their lives.

Speaking at the ceremony will be five classmates, who ranked at the top of the graduating class of 2012.

Valedictorians for Groveport Madison this year include:

* Olivia Burns, the daughter of Dave and LuAnn Burns of Groveport, who will be attending Ohio University-Lancaster where she will be majoring in health services administration;

* Cameron Jones, the son of Stephanie Valez of Columbus and Jeff Jones of Westerville, will be pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at Case Western Reserve University;

* Nuttha Mahakanchankul, the daughter of Nithisa Iwagoshi of Canal Winchester, will be attending the University of California at Santa Cruz where she will be majoring in computer science;

* Kasey Petty, the daughter of Becky and Charles Petty of Canal Winchester, will be pursuing a major in education at the University of Findlay; and

* Shelbie Prince, the daughter of Marti and Tom Prince of Groveport, will be attending Ashland University where she will be majoring in business.

Also saying good-bye to the seniors will be Jack Wills, the Groveport-Madison "Teacher of the Year."

The retiring high school teacher, who has taught English, Chinese, and social studies for 28 years at Groveport, will be a featured speaker at the ceremony.

The senior choir and concert band will also be a part of the commencement.
