The city of Canal Winchester will host a "Recycling Day" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 at the Canal Winchester High School, 300 Washington St.

The city of Canal Winchester will host a "Recycling Day" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 at the Canal Winchester High School, 300 Washington St.

Electronics Recycling Services will be recycling electronics with certificates of destruction in accordance with ISO and WEEE standards. There is no limit to the amount of electronics that can be brought.

Recyclable electronics include computers of all types, networking equipment, cell phones, copiers, VCR units, telephone systems, radios, laboratory electronics, cash registers, CD players, fax machines, stereos and cables.

No wet-cell batteries or kitchen appliances accepted.

Cintas will provide an on-site mobile shred unit to securely shred documents for free. Each person and business is limited to four boxes (12-by-12-by-24) to be shredded. Cintas will shred mixed office paper, light cardboard and similar materials. They will not shred plastic, compact disks, DVDs or other metal (other than paper clips or staples).

Goodwill Industries will be on hand to accepting donations of gently used clothing, furniture and household items.

The event is open to residents from surrounding communities, with businesses also welcome.
