Groveport Summer Movie Series, free family movies, 8:30 p.m. July 27, Aug. 31 and Sept. 28, at the Heritage Park Amphitheatre, 551 Wirt Road. Bring blankets or seating. Blood Drive for the U.S. Military and Collection of Care Package Material for the Troops, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 13 at the U.S. Army Reserve Center, 165 N. Yearling Road, east of the Defense Supply Center Columbus. Donors are asked to register online at www.militaryblood.dod.mil. Walk-ins are also welcome. For more information go to blooddrive forthetroops.org. The Blue Star Mothers of Central Ohio also will be collecting material for care packages. The Mothers will send 800 packages at the end of July to troops. In addition, the Troop and Family Assistance Center Specialists will be on hand.

Make-A-Wish 14th Annual Medical Mutual Columbus Walk for Wishes, 10 a.m. July 13, at Huntington Park and downtown Columbus. Participants can choose either a one- or three-mile walk to help grant wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. A Finish Line Celebration filled with music, food and fun will be held at the conclusion of the walk. Walkers also have the opportunity to meet current and past Wish families. Canal Winchester Music & Art in the Park, 6 to 9 p.m. July 19, at Stradley Place, north of the city municipal building at 36 S. High Street in historic downtown Canal Winchester. The event will feature the Gas Pump Jockeys and the sixth annual Jeff Wyler cruise-in. Attendees are encouraged to bring portable chairs or blankets due to limited seating. Support groups

Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter, Marcy Zitron lupus support group, 6 to 8 p.m. July 8, at Donatos Pizza, 2922 Noe Bixby Road. The support group is an open, small-group environment that encourages discussion among lupus patients and their families. Most discussions focus on the "how-to's" of living with a chronic illness.
