Blood Drive for the U.S. Military and Collection of Care Package Material for the Troops, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 13 at the U.S. Army Reserve Center, 165 N. Yearling Road, east of the Defense Supply Center Columbus. Donors are asked to register online at www.militaryblood.dod.mil. Walk-ins are also welcome. Make-A-Wish 14th Annual Medical Mutual Columbus Walk for Wishes, 10 a.m. July 13, at Huntington Park and downtown Columbus. Participants can choose either a one- or three-mile walk to help grant wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. A Finish Line Celebration filled with music, food and fun will be held at the conclusion of the walk. Walkers also have the opportunity to meet current and past Wish families.
