For the third year, Midwest BunFest will feature a full day of rabbit education sessions to inform current bunny parents and encourage potential rabbit owners to consider pet rabbits as indoor companion animals.
This year, the event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 2, at the Whitehall Community Park Activities Building. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Participants can bring their rabbits to the event for services such as a Bunny Spa offering grooming and bunny massage and Glamour Shots for your rabbit with a professional photographer. There are also opportunities to adopt a rabbit from local rescue groups. In addition, vendors like Happy Rabbit Toys, Annie Elle Bunnies, Black Pug Pottery and more bring their merchandise to BunFest to sell.
BunFest began in 2011, and it was modeled after similar festivals in Toronto and San Diego. BunFest is hosted by Ohio House Rabbit Rescue and proceeds from the event support its adoption program and the new Ohio House Rabbit Adoption Center.
