City accepting tax-grant applications

The city of Canal Winchester is accepting applications for its 2014 Transient Occupancy Tax Grant program.

The grant program is open to public agencies, non-profits or private organizations located within the city of Canal Winchester to help fund projects that will enhance Canal Winchester for residents and/or visitors to the community. Grants are funded with the hotel/motel tax revenue collected by the city.

Grant applications will be competitively reviewed and awards will be made to those projects meeting all requirements and the intent of the program. Grant applications are available at Canal Winchester's Municipal Building, 36 S. High St.

Completed applications must be submitted in person or by mail to the attention of the finance director at the above address no later than Jan. 15. City Council will make awards by Feb. 28.
