The other drive made an obscene gesture and pulled a semiautomatic handgun and pointed it at him. The other driver told him to leave, the man said. No shots were reported.

Between 5 a.m. Aug. 19 and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 20, in the 400 block of Richards Road: A man reported a burglar, by an unknown means, entered his house. The full loss was not known at the time of the report.

Between 10 p.m. Aug. 19 and 8 a.m. Aug. 21, in the 200 block of Crestview Road: An employee of a bank reported an intruder broke into this vacant house and stole about $50 worth of copper pipe from the basement. In doing this, the intruder also caused $1,000 damage to the condenser in the air conditioner, the employee added.

Between 7 p.m. Aug. 14 and 5:55 a.m. Aug. 18, in the 3800 block of Indianola Avenue: A worker reported an intruder cut padlocks off two storage containers on this construction site and stole over $7,000 worth of tools and materials.

Between 9 p.m. Aug. 16 and 7 a.m. Aug. 18, in the 200 block of East Weber Road: Workers cut the chain off a fence around a construction site and stole a $2,400 portable mortar mixer.

Between 2 p.m. Aug. 13 and 7:50 p.m. Aug. 20, in the 2600 block of Glenmawr Avenue: A woman reported an intruder stole two bicycles and a lawn mower worth a total of over $500 from her garage.

Between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 7 a.m. Aug. 23, in the 5000 block of North High Street: Workers reported an intruder caused an undetermined amount of damage to the front door of this business, but made no entry.

Between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and 10 a.m. Aug. 19, in the 100 block of East Dunedin Road: A man reported a thief stole his $1,000 1989 Buick Park Avenue from outside his residence.

Between 12:01 a.m. Aug. 11 and 11:59 p.m. Aug. 17, in the first block of East Royal Forest Boulevard: A woman reported a thief managed to get her account number and charge $1,800 worth of items on the Internet. She still has her debit card, she noted.

Between 10 a.m. Aug. 17 and 10 a.m. Aug. 20, in the first block of Blenheim Road: A woman reported she is the victim of identity theft, with the thief using her credit card account number.

Between 4 and 5 a.m. Aug. 14, in the 2800 block of Findley Avenue: A man reported a thief stole his $200 bicycle from outside his residence.

Between 1 p.m. Aug. 15 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 20, in the 5400 block of North High Street: Workers reported a thief or thieves stole over $4,700 worth of tools and supplies, including a $1,200 generator.

Thefts from or vandalism to autos was reported from: the 700 block of Fairlawn Drive, the first block of West Pacemont and the 200 block of Chatham roads, the first block of Webster Park and the 300 block of Oakland Park avenues and the 300 block of Broadmeadows boulevard.
