Members of the Clintonville Arts Guild will peddle their crafts during the group's annual Holiday Show and Sale next week.

The show will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6, noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 in the auditorium of the Whetstone Community Center.

In this year's show, 35 members of the arts guild will sell their handmade goods, including wood crafts, fiber art and paintings.

The show will feature a new mix of vendors, as it does each year, said Michael McMichael, one of the event's organizers.

"Every year, the group differs somewhat," McMichael said.

This year, vendors have been asked to feature some smaller items, many of which will make good holiday decorations or gift items, McMichael said.

Admission to the show is free, and artists will donate 10 percent of their profits to the community center.

Some Arts Guild members participating in the show also will demonstrate their crafts for patrons. Items also have been donated by the artists to be given as door prizes.

The Clintonville Arts Guild, which features 59 members from different communities around Columbus, has held a holiday show in some form for more than 35 years, McMichael said.

The show has been held at the community center for more than 10 years, with the exception of last year, when the show had to relocate due to the renovation of the community center.

The event continues to be a success in Clintonville, Mc-Michael said, because of the willingness of neighborhood residents to support local artists.

"It's just loyalty to the neighborhood," she said.
