Trash, recycling and yard waste will not be collected in the city of Columbus Thursday, Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

For residents assigned a collection color, collection will rotate forward one day, and continue on the new day until Dec. 25, as follows:

Friday, Nov. 28: Navy

Monday, Dec. 1: Pink

Tuesday, Dec. 2: Ruby

Wednesday, Dec. 3: Gold

Thursday, Dec. 4: Gray

Customers in a zone-area are assigned a two-day collection window. Zone customers can check their window by calling the 311 Service Center at (614) 645-3111, or can check online at 311.columbus.gov. Zone customers with a wheeled container and a Thursday/Friday window will receive collection Friday, Nov. 28, and then return to collection on the first day of their window the week of Dec. 1.

Customers with dumpsters or other non-wheeled collection containers will receive collection within their two-day window throughout the year.

Regular collection of yard waste and curb-side subscription recycling will be delayed by one day, with Thursday and Friday collections taking place Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28 and 29. Collection of yard waste and subscription recycling returns to the regularly scheduled day the week of Dec. 1.
