Local artist, musician and author Jason K. Burke is conducting a series of live readings from his "Recycled Again" children's book.

Local artist, musician and author Jason K. Burke is conducting a series of live readings from his "Recycled Again" children's book.

Burke, who lives in Clintonville, described the readings as "grassroots events." In them he flips through posters of the illustrations from the book.

"I am doing the live reads to help launch my newly redesigned book, and to educate the kids about recycling," Burke wrote in an e-mail.

The scheduled dates for the events include:

Saturday, April 10, 1 p.m., Wholly Craft!

Thursday, April 22, 3 to 7 p.m., Earth Day at Franklin Park Conservatory

Saturday, April 24, 2:30 p.m., South Campus Gateway Shoe Box Art Gallery

Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Space Comics Expo at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Sinclair Road

Saturday, May 1, 1 p.m., Borders on Kenny Road

Saturday, May 22, 10 a.m., Global Gallery in Clintonville and the Clintonville Farmers Market

Thursday, July 15, 7 p.m., Wild Goose Creative
