Several Columbus City Schools students demonstrated their inventions at the Invention Convention in May.

Paige Aldrich, a student at Indian Springs Elementary School, presented the "M.Y. Miss You Voice Ball." Jay Herpolsheimer, a student at Alpine Elementary, presented the "Thinking Cap." Caleb Spurgeon, a student at Winterset Elementary School, presented the "Flusher Reminder." Andersen Weaver, a student at Dominion Middle School, presented the "Scanner Wave Microwave."

Their entries were all among the 11 inventions selected by Time Warner Cable to compete for a $500 cash prize in the "Coolest Creations" viewer's choice contest.

Videos may be viewed on Time Warner Cable's local on demand channel 411 by selecting the "Viewer's Choice" category. Each time a finalist video is viewed, it counts as a vote for that finalist.

The videos will be available through Aug. 31.
