"Minus One" was recently named Best Narrative Feature at the 2010 GI Film Festival in Washington, D.C. It has also been chosen as an Official Selection for the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival.

The film was shot entirely on location in central Ohio, with Jon Osbeck of Clintonville and Marc Wiskemann of the East Side as co-directors. Osbeck also wrote the original screenplay and appears in "Minus One."

Clintonville resident Dino Tripodis, host of a morning radio show on Sunny 95, served as executive producer and producer of "Minus One" through his Never the Luck Productions company he started four years ago.

The story evolved from Osbeck's personal family experience of his brother Erik's deployment with the U.S. Army Reserve to Iraq. The unit, based out of Columbus, has seen multiple deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Military Times recently mentioned "Minus One" as one of the "military movies to watch." The film was also the focus of a recent episode of Writers Talk presented by the Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing at Ohio State University and WCBE Radio.
