The 15th annual Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classis will take place on Thursday, Sept. 9.

The 15th annual Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classis will take place on Thursday, Sept. 9.

The event will take place at the Westchester Golf Course in Canal Winchester, starting with lunch at 11 a.m. "Then we hit the course," said chamber president Jenny Smith.

Last year's annual tournament had about 80 participants. "We would love to have more golfers," Smith said.

Tickets are $85 a person or $300 for a foursome. That includes lunch, golf cart, greens fees and dinner. "We have some really nice raffle prizes," Smith said.

These include a $50 car repair gift certificate, a 45-minute massage, a chiropractic examination and gift certificates to several restaurants.

Colin Flannery of Heartland Payment Systems is serving as chairman of this year's classic.

Proceeds from the event go back into the general fund of the chamber to pay for programs for members and the community, the president said. Smith added that chamber officials would like to hear by Monday, Sept. 6, from people who want to play in the tournament.

Reservations may be made by calling the chamber office at 262-2790.
