"UUNIVERSE!," the resident chamber music ensemble of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, will presents the third concert of the 2010 season on Sunday, Nov. 7.

"UUNIVERSE!," the resident chamber music ensemble of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, will presents the third concert of the 2010 season on Sunday, Nov. 7.

The concert, which starts at 3 p.m., will feature chamber music by Asian composers for strings, flute, clarinet, piano and percussion.

The Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 93 W. Weisheimer Road.

Featured works will be "Four Pictures" by Vietnamese composer Do Hong Quan for flute, piano and percussion, and a duo for flute and cello by Japanese composer Yuko Uebayashi. Also on the program are "Poems of the Tang Dynasty" for string quartet by Chinese composer Soong Fu Yuan, "Night Music" by Indian composer Vanraj Bhatia, and "Images of Sae-ya Sae-ya," a Korean folk song, for flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano by former Columbus resident Gui Sook Lee.

Performers will include guest artists Hild Peersen on clarinet, Talia Lindsley on cello, and Alicia Wright and Vinnie Chanthavong, both percussionists at Northland High School, along with church members Nathan Hamm on piano, Sarah Case on violin, Nancy Nehring on viola, Mark Rudoff on cello and Lea Pearson on flute.

Tickets are $10 or $5 for students, the unemployed and seniors citizens. They are available by calling the church office, 267-4946, ext. 21, or at the door.

Tickets are also available in exchange for volunteer work.

The "UUNIVERSE!" series is supported by the church and the Greater Columbus Arts Council under its Franklin County Neighborhood Arts program.
