The Clintonville Community Band and Clintonville Community Choir will present their annual Holiday Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Whetstone High School auditorium, 4405 Scenic Drive.

The Clintonville Community Band and Clintonville Community Choir will present their annual Holiday Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Whetstone High School auditorium, 4405 Scenic Drive.

Choir selections will include, “O Holy Night,” “An Irving Berlin Christmas” and “The First Noel.” The C-ville Songsters, an a cappella group formed by choir members, will perform, “Let It Snow.”

The band will perform, “Christmas Music for Winds,” J.S. Bach’s “Allegro” and “Sleigh Ride.” Audience members will be invited to participate in a sing-along on classics such as “Joy to the World,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Silent Night” and “Jolly Old St. Nicholas.”

The band performs under the direction of Richard Burkart, a Whetstone graduate and director of instrumental music at Whetstone. The choir performs under the direction of Tom Maxwell, who earned a bachelor’s degree in voice performance from The Ohio State University.

Non-perishable food items will be collected to benefit the Beechwold/Clintonville Resources Center. A freewill offering will benefit the Resource Center, as well as the choir and the band. Refreshments from Mozart’s Bakery and Café will be available before the concert and during intermission.
