A neighborhood block watch meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. today, Thursday, July 19, at the Charity Newsies building, 4300 Indianola Ave.

The gathering to discuss crime issues in Clintonville was announced at last week's Clintonville Area Commission meeting by District 2 representative Nancy Kuhel.

In addition, Kuhel said a citywide forum on food trucks is scheduled for one week later, July 26, at the same time and location.

CAC District 3 representative James R. Blazer II brought up the idea at the June 5 meeting. He also said he wanted to have a gathering of city officials, including representatives of code enforcement, along with residents, mobile food vendors and traditional restaurant owners to discuss issues relating the growing phenomenon of food trucks.

"Today's food carts have evolved into something that the actual and current rules and regulations don't cover," Blazer said.
