Clintonville police reports

The manager of McDonald's, 3095 N. High St., contacted Columbus police at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 10 to report an employee had embezzled $10,000 from the business.

The embezzlement -- which dates back to May 1, according to reports -- allegedly involved the employee refunding nonexistent transactions to herself.

A $1,500 generator, propane tanks valued at $250 and a $500 lawn mower were reported missing from a business in the 3800 block of Indianola Avenue at 10:20 a.m. Aug. 10. The theft took place between July 2 and Aug. 10, reports said.

A burglary that occurred on East Weisheimer Road Aug. 10 resulted in $2,800 worth of missing electronics, the victim reported. The woman said the crime took place between 7:15 a.m. and 4:39 p.m. A $1,200 laptop computer, a television set valued at $800 and a camera worth $800 were reported stolen.

A Worthington man told police he was assaulted by two individuals at an apartment building in the 5300 block of North High Street at 8 p.m. Aug. 7. The victim was taken to the Wexner Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The men who allegedly attacked him could not be found, according to reports.

A Meadowlark Lane woman, 57, contacted officers at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 12 to complain that someone had listed her home for rent on Craigslist.

A break-in on West Henderson Road was reported at 12:41 p.m. Aug. 11. The victim said $100 in jewelry was taken in the burglary, which occurred after 1 p.m. Aug. 8.

A Urana Avenue resident contacted police at 1:02 a.m. Aug. 7 to report he had been beaten by two men outside an Arbor Village Drive bar. The victim said the attack, which took place at 12:30 a.m., was severe enough that he was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to reports.
