Residents will be given the opportunity on Thursday, Aug. 30, to vote on their favorite design for a proposed street mural at the intersection of Calumet Street and Crestview Road, in front of the Clintonville Community Market.

Clintonville Area Commission member Rob Wood, whose District 2 includes the intersection for the first-of-its-kind art project in Columbus, will be opening his home to people from noon to 9 p.m.
Votes may be cast at 118 Crestview Road.

A steering committee formed for the project has selected five designs from those submitted by artists by the deadline of Aug. 12, according to the announcement from Wood.

Any design selected will have to be approved by the Columbus Arts Commission and personnel in the city's traffic division.

The five concepts still in the running may be viewed at http://www.facebook.com/ClintonvilleStreetMuralProject?ref=hl.
