Clintonville police reports

The owner of rental property in the 2900 block of North High Street contacted police at 2:23 p.m. Sept. 21 to report interior parts from two outdoor air conditioners had been stolen. The victim estimated his loss at $6,000 and said the theft occurred between 6:30 and 10 p.m. the previous day.

Metal parts valued at $3,150 were reported stolen from the air-conditioner unit of a business in the 3000 block of North High Street at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 20. A homeless man who was in the area at the time of the theft, which took place about an hour prior to the report being filed, said he saw two men come from behind the business carrying the stolen parts. They got into a vehicle and left the scene, the witness told police.

A Broad Meadows Boulevard resident was issued a citation for playing music too loudly at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 20, reports said.

An East Dominion Boulevard woman contacted police at 10:22 a.m. Sept. 17 to report she had been the victim of fraud. The woman said she had received a call five days earlier from someone purporting to be with the Social Security Administration. After providing the requested information, the victim said she realized her mistake and contacted her financial institutions.
