A burglary was reported at an apartment in the 2900 block of Indianola Avenue at 2:53 p.m. Sept. 30.
The victims said the break-in took place after 12:01a.m. that day. Three laptop computers, together worth $2,800, and video-game accessories valued at $470 were reported stolen.
A resident of Overbrook Drive said she was assaulted by a man in a parking lot off Broad Meadows Boulevard at 3:43 a.m. Sept. 30.
A vehicle valued at $15,000 was reported stolen at 9:19 a.m. Sept. 29 from the 600 block of Oakland Park Avenue. The victim, a West Side resident, said the theft occurred between 2:30 and 4 a.m. that day.
A business in the 4300 block of Indianola Avenue was broken into between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 28 and 10:40 a.m. Sept. 29. The burglar made off with three light bulbs valued at $1 each, according to reports.
A resident of West Henderson Road contacted police at 9:47 p.m. Sept. 26 to report he had been receiving telephone calls from "an unknown 'foreign' older female" for five days, according to reports. The caller does not speak English, the victim said.
An East Side woman said her vehicle was broken into while it was parked on Arbor Village Drive after 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The victim filed a report Sept. 24. She said her purse and cellphone were stolen, along with the keys to her workplace and some makeup. The total value of the missing items was estimated at $627.
