Mozart’s is moving.
The staple of Clintonville dining will take over the former Cord Camera building at 4784 N. High St.
Owner Anand Saha said he simply has outgrown the original space at 2885 N. High St., part of the Olentangy Village residential and retail complex in south Clintonville.
Saha said his plan is to move Mozart’s and the Vienna Ice Cafe, his other Clintonville venture, into the new building. He said he recently purchased the property for $635,000.
The first phase should be open March 1, with the full transition completed by next summer, Saha said.
He said the 11,000-square-foot space should allow him to expand the dining room and offer banquet seating. The building has 61 parking spaces, as well as with off-street parking. Saha said he intends to incorporate some green elements into the design.
The space has been in operation as several uses over the years, including a restaurant, a Persian rug store and, most recently, Cord Camera. It has been vacant for a number of years.
