Runners, walkers and even standers who would like to support the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center are invited to participate in this year's EAS Ring Around the Roses.

The sixth annual EAS 5K Walk-Run has become a Memorial Day tradition in Clintonville, with hundreds of runners and other participants beginning their holiday with a fun event at the Whetstone Park of Roses and nearby Whetstone High School stadium.

The EAS Ring Around the Roses will be the morning of Monday, May 27, starting with day-of registrations at 7:30 a.m. at the school, 4405 Scenic Dr.

Pre-race registration for runners and walkers already is open, and can be done by visiting signmeup.com/site/online- event-registration/91462. Registration is $35 until May 26, and $40 the morning of the race.

Participants in the Kids Fun Run, which will start at 8:30 a.m. that day, can run for free although registration is encouraged.
