Civitan Club of North Columbus, 2013 Park of Roses concert series, 7 p.m. Sundays in the Park of Roses gazebo, 3901 N. High St. The July 7 program will feature the Greater Columbus Concert Band. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved into the park shelter house.

First Saturday at Green Lawn, 11 a.m. July 6, in the Huntington Chapel at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave. Local attorney Phil Stichter will speak about William B. Thrall, one of 39 men who signed a petition in 1848 citing a need for a new burying ground in Columbus. Stichter is a descendant of Thrall, an editor of the Ohio State Journal. Make-A-Wish 14th Annual Medical Mutual Columbus Walk for Wishes, 10 a.m. July 13, at Huntington Park and downtown Columbus. Participants can choose either a one- or three-mile walk to help grant wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. A Finish Line Celebration filled with music, food and fun will be held at the conclusion of the walk. Walkers also have the opportunity to meet current and past Wish families. Every participant who raises $100 or more will receive an official T-shirt. For more information about this event, contact Chelsea Dobbs at 614-495-3713.

Clintonville Woman's Club, summer lunch series open to the community, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 17 and Aug. 21, at the clubhouse, 3951 N. High St. The July 17 event will be a Christmas in July event including a turkey dinner with all the trimmings while the Aug. 21 luncheon will feature ham loaf and a side dish. There are options for entree or salad bar including beverage and roll priced separately or in combination. Dessert also is available. Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are accepted. Moving to the Beat: Ageless Grace, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, July 22 and 29 as well as Aug. 5, at Capital Park Family Health Center, 2365 Innis Road. The program, offered in partnership with Cancer Support Community Central Ohio and Heart of Ohio Family Health Center, will feature 21 exercises designed to help body and mind function with flexibility and efficiency. An African-style drummer will provide accompaniment. Participants ages 10 and older are invited; children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no fee. Support groups

Wesley Glen Family CAREgiver Group, noon July 9, at Wesley Glen Retirement Community, 5155 N. High St. The topic will be "Ask A Nurse." Lunch is provided. Sessions aim to provide care, affirmation, respite and education for those looking after a loved one. All sessions are free and open to the public.
