Tuesday October 1, 2013 1:06 PM

"Sweet Dreams" is the theme of the seventh annual Whetsone High School Homecoming Parade.

The parade will step off at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, before the Whetstone vs. East high school football game.

The parade route winds through the adjacent neighborhood: south on Scenic Drive, east on Deland Avenue and south on Olentangy Boulevard. It then turns east on Croswell, north on Zeller, west onto West Cooke Road, north on Olentangy Boulevard and ends on Scenic Drive in the stadium parking lot.

Clintonville-area restaurant owner, civic leader and Columbus City Schools parent Anand Saha is the grand marshal.

The WHS Teacher of the Year, Neil Moore, also will be honored. He was selected and recognized by the staff and students in the spring of 2013 for his contributions to the school.

The parade is sponsored by the Whetstone High School PTA and includes the nominees for queen and king, the marching band, cheerleaders, sports teams, school clubs and the WHS pathway schools: Indian Springs, Clinton, Colerain and Salem elementary schools and Dominion Middle School.

Other community participants include area Girl and Boy Scouts, local dignitaries, candidates, businesses and organizations.
