Several Clintonville area youths will perform in concerts this week with youth orchestras sponsored by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.

Several Clintonville area youths will perform in concerts this week with youth orchestras sponsored by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.

Violinists Caleb Spurgeon, Elowen Conley, Griffin Hughes and Megan Stasik are members of the Columbus Symphony Junior Strings, which will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 in Ohio State University's Weigel Hall. The orchestra is composed of young string players in grades 3-6.

Atyana Adams, viola, will perform with the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in Capital University's Mees Hall. Composed of young musicians in grades 7-10, the ensemble performs unabridged classical works and other classical and popular selections arranged for student orchestra.

The Columbus Symphony Chamber Strings, including cellist Eden Davis, will perform at Weigel Hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. String players in grades 6-9 comprise the Chamber Strings.
