The Clintonville Community Fund currently is accepting grant applications.

Funding requests for projects that benefit the neighborhood will be accepted through Dec. 31, according to an announcement from Susan Weil, spokeswoman for the nonprofit organization.

The group is looking to fund projects in the areas of the arts, social services and education, or conservation that benefit a wide range of Clintonville residents.

Proposals should be submitted via email to clintonvillecommunityfund@gmail.com.

The two- to three-page requests should include:

* A brief description of the project.

* Benefits to the community.

* Estimated time to completion.

* Estimated cost, including a basic budget.

* The individuals or entities involved, including contact information for project leaders.

* Additional sources of support, including funding and volunteer commitments, if applicable.

* How grant recipients will notify Clintonville Community Fund officials of project completion.

The grants are not provided to religious or church groups, according to the announcement.

They are typically provided to organizations that hold nonprofit designation.

Fund officials require that work on grant projects must begin within six months of notification of the award. Grants may be canceled if that criterion is not met.

The Clintonville Community Fund is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that was founded in 1996.
