Local author's graphic novel to debut at expo

An epic graphic novel written by Clintonville resident Travis Horseman and illustrated by Italian artist Giancarlo Caracuzzo will debut at the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo on Saturday, April 12.

Amiculus, set in ancient Rome, will be among dozens of comics and graphic novels debuting at the 15th annual show, which runs April 12 and 13 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 4900 Sinclair Road.

SPACE is the longest-running exhibition of small press, creator-owned and art comics, and Columbus' only locally owned and operated comics show, according to Horseman, assistant director at the Franklin Park Conservatory.

In addition to Horseman, more than 200 artists and comics creators will be on hand at the show.

Horseman has described his proposed three-volume work as "300 meets V for Vendetta."
