Clintonville: Restaurant, shop robbed at gunpoint

Two Clintonville businesses have been robbed at gunpoint in the last two weeks.

SoBo Style, 3282 N. High St., was robbed at 4:45 p.m. April 12.

According to Columbus police reports, an individual entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded money from the cash register.

Z Pizza, 5060 N. High St., was robbed at at 8:57 p.m. April 10.

The employee who reported the crime said an individual entered the establishment, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

In other recent Clintonville-area police reports:

* An East Como Avenue home was burglarized between 6:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. April 9 by someone who entered through an open window and made off with a television valued at $300. The report was filed by the homeowner who discovered the crime.

* A vehicle worth $24,000 was stolen from an Acton Road home between 7 p.m. April 16 and noon the following day, the Worthington man who owns the vehicle reported.

* A trailer parked in the 500 block of Overbrook Drive was broken into between 8:30 p.m. April 11 and 7:45 a.m. the next day, reports said. The owner of the trailer, a Fallcreek Lane man, said tools worth more than $4,000 were stolen.

* An employee of a convenience store on Indianola Avenue reported someone drove off without paying for $75.86 worth of gasoline at 5 p.m. April 14. The employee was able to provide police with the license number of the car, reports said.

* A Piedmont Road man said his garden shed was broken into April 8. The burglary occurred between 2 and 6:30 a.m., he said, and a generator valued at $350 was stolen.
