A film screening and discussion of "The Great Gatsby" will begin at 2 p.m. today (Sunday, April 27) at the Strand Theatre, 28 E. Winter St.

The event is part of the Delaware County District Library-sponsored The Big Read: DelawaREADS "The Great Gatsby," a series of programs and discussions that will continue through May 10.

Robert Redford and Mia Farrow star in the 1974 film, which won two Oscars and a Golden Globe.

After the movie, Delaware County District Library reference librarian Stephen Cook will lead a discussion. "Big Read" T-shirts will be given away as door prizes.

The film screening and discussion are free, and registration is not required.

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest.
