"Volunteen" training, for teens donating their time to the library, will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5. Volunteers ages 12-17 may choose one of these days to come in for training.

No story times will be held through June 6. Programs will resume June 9.

The summer reading program begins June 8. "Catch the Reading Bug @ the Delaware County District Library" kicks off at 2 p.m. with a party at the library and a performance by "Mr. Zap," Bob Durante and "The Magical World of Bugs."

The summer reading program features "Lunch Bunch" for ages 6-11 through Aug. 6 At the main library, the Lunch Bunch will meet at noon on Mondays and Wednesdays. Pack your own lunch and come for the stories, games and crafts.

• Family Movie Night, 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 11. The library is unable to reveal the title of the movie, but it's a Disney-Pixar flick that gives people an idea of what it's like to live a bug's life.

• Teen Café, 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 12. Teen Café is snacks, book discussions, crafts and fun.

• Family Night, "Buggy about books with magician Jim Kleefeld," 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18.

• Teen Scene, 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 19, "Get creative with henna." Registration is required for this program. Learn about henna as an art form and have a design drawn on your hand.

• Book discussion, 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time," by Mark Haddon.

• Teen Scene, 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 26. A beekeeper who will explain how bees play an important role.

• Family Night, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 26. "Crickets, Beetles and Flies, Oh My!" Meet scientists and ask students of entomology at The Ohio State University your questions. They will do a presentation about the bugs around us and bring some with them to show. Open to families with children of all ages.

• Evening Story Time for ages infants to 6, 6:30 p.m. Mondays.

• Open Story Time, for ages birth-6, 6:30 p.m. Mondays.

• Toddler Story Time, ages 2-3, 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

• Picture Book Time, ages 4-6, 10 a.m. Thursdays.

• Baby Time, for ages birth to 24 months, 11 a.m. Thursdays.

Visitors to www.delawarelibrary.org can download e-books onto their computers or ipods by clicking on the "e-books" link on the home page. It's part of the Ohio E-book Project, through which patrons from member libraries can search through hundreds of titles and download them to computers, transfer them to portable devices, or burn them onto CDs for reading and listening anywhere.
